Lovely hotel, not enough ataff
We travelled as a group of 10 with ages ranging from 11 to 73.
The hotel is rather impressive with a lot of facilities and a beautiful, beach front location. There is also a wide range of tasty food.
However there is not enough waiting staff so the queues for drinks at the bar, service at the check in desk or a table at breakfast/dinner are long and frustrating.

Oh dear, not one of my best choices!
Having arrived at the hotel about 7.30pm we were greeted very warmly by the reception staff. Very informative. Had dinner then went to the see what entertainment was on. Not too bad for the first night.
But down hill from then on. Food bland, entertainment even blander.
The animation team, although maybe full of enthusiasm, where far short of talent. The nights they performed was cringe worthy Miming without knowing the words! dancing out of step. One night we were subjected to silent 'you've been framed' videos that were on a link. Repeat after repeat and not even straight on the screen!, If it wasn't for the fact we had young children we would have just gone to the bar.
So to the lifts. Three lifts for over a thousand guest? really? having learnt that they don't always work, on many occasion we would walk down. From the 6th floor was bad enough but it you were on the 10th floor........... But having to walk up, well you can use your imagination!
We found after our first encounter at reception, the standard of service became somewhat poor to say the least. The restaurant service was obviously short of staff. We would have our main course and the plates would be piling on the table when we returned with our second course. Sometimes there wouldn't be any cups and saucers at breakfast time and you would have to use plastic drinking mugs! When we tried on several occasions to put tables together so we could all sit together we would be told off for doing so. The staff didn't come across as very helpful or friendly. On my last day I was so upset to see one of the animation team tap his colleague on the shoulder and made out by bringing his arms out to his side that I was a rather big lady. I didn't say anything as I was so upset and only told my family when we returned home. I could say who it was, but all I will say is that if you wear a leather jacket in the 'entertainment' show, please be more thoughtful of ladies who aren't a size 10!
My daughter went to get a spare key as it had been locked in her room and was told on the last day she couldn't have one. When she insisted that she needed one, the two men behind reception started talking in Spanish and were laughing as her. She also felt very intimidated.
We booked several excursions with TUI and after the first one we were very dubious. We had booked a trip to Palmitos Park which was about half an hour from the hotel. We had to be at the coach station which was 10mins walk up the road for 8.30am.
We didn't realise that we would be picking up other people from different hotels. We were on the coach for 1 hour 40 minutes! We decided to get a taxi back which cost us another 40euros on top of the 240euros for the trip. Complete rip off.
Would we come back? absolutely not. Although my Grandchildren had a good time as they are complete water babes, even they only ate pasta, chips and toast as they didn't like the food.
There aren't enough sunbeds, but I do like the fact that you can't reserve your bed until 10.00am. So I have found something good to say!

Humiliated in restaurant
Despite queuing up to be shown to a table, as we have had to do every meal here, this morning we were shouted out at and humiliated in front of everyone because the waiter had given us somebody else's table my mistake! Cue an angry different waiter shouting at us in front of everyone that the table was not free! We offered to move straight away even though it was not our mistake, but this offer was refused and we had to stay put, surrounded by staring faces. Hideous, humiliating, disgusting.

An exceptional holiday in a beautiful resort
I stayed here with my partner in August, and it was likely one of the best (if not the best) holiday I've had. The rooms are large, spacious and really reflective of a 4 star quality. Upon requesting a higher room prior to arrival, we were automatically put onto the 9th floor with a gorgeous view of the sea, and upon arrival, at 2am in the morning, were told the restaurant had waited open from dinner 'just incase' as the journey had been quite long.
The service during the stay was exceptional, the rooms were kept to a very high standard of cleanliness, the views were spectacular (and this is before the sunset!, which I particularly advise seeing) and the reps were very helpful and friendly in organising excursions - even though, there's so much in the resort you could happily go without spending another penny.
I think the only downside was some of the food, but even saying this, there was always something to cater to every appetite - with large fresh fruit/veg sections available at every meal. And I probably wouldn't recommend using the courtesy rooms at the end of the day! But overall, an exceptional holiday, from an exceptional resort.
Room tip: Request a higher floor. Noise was no issue on 9th floor, & the view is beautiful! A/C noise present, but not an issue

It is wonderful to read your headline and learn that we were able to help in making your holiday an exceptional one.
Your comments on the large and spacious rooms, that you describe as reflective of a 4 star quality, are very much appreciated, as they were renovated this past Summer and I am very glad to know your feedback in this regard.
Thank you also for highlighting the cleanliness of our rooms and premises, the spectacular views out from the rooms and garden and above all, the exceptional service that you noticed and that we work hard to deliver.
Food is a matter of taste and we try to please everyone with a wide variety of dishes ranging from Canarian cuisine along with Spanish, European, Mexican and Asian dishes in our different themed dinners. As you say, there are always healthy options, with our large fresh fruit/veg sections available at every meal, but also burgers, hotdogs, pizza.... , since we try to cover everybody's appetites.
Regarding the courtesy rooms, they are oftently reviewed, but not after each use and I am sorry if the clients before you did not leave the one you used as tidy as they should.

An excellent hotel stayed here 16 - 23 October
This is an excellent hotel, good location, good food choice.Free hotel bus into Mogan, but you need to book for Market day. The room we had was modern and clean. This is an excellent choice if you have a young family as when all inclusive drinks are freely available including wines and beers throughout the hotel self service. The hotel was extremely busy on our visit so the sun loungers were tightly packed around pool area.
Please note that if you have reserved a sun lounger you must be on it before nine or your towels etc wil be lifted even though the note on loungers states 10am. This did cause numerous complaints to hotel staff and I would suggest the update this note. Be early for meals as you may have to queue for a table but as I have stated the hotel was very busy. Overall an excellent hotel and holiday.
Room tip: All rooms have a sea view. Ask for an upgrade if possible.

I'm delighted to read that you had an excellent time with us and that you found your room modern and clean. Rooms have been freshly refurbished this last Summer and the new decoration is indeed very modern and functional.
Thank you also for commenting on the good food choice. I will ensure to pass on your positive feedback to our hard working restaurant and kitchen teams.
As for the sun loungers, kindly note that unattended towels may be removed at any time before 10:00 am to avoid them being reserved from the early hours. We believe this rule to be the best way to stop early-birds from reserving their loungers at 7 or 8 and then leaving for breakfast or for a walk until the sun rises up in the sky. The note that we leave says: "...pool towels which are placed on unoccupied sunbeds before 10 am, may be removed by our pool attendant", however, we will revise if all notes say the same following your comment.
